Making either of us your coach is totally free!! And no matter who you sign up with, you will be part of teamRIPPED! Hey Coach, My 50 year old body suffered a heart attack last summer, had two stints put in. Taking that as a huge hint to get back into shape I quit a 33 year smoking habit but gained 35 pounds in the process. I feel I am now very quit from the smokes and want to get at this ugly belly I got as a quit smoking prize. I retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer about 6 years ago and up until now have never been this fat. I am disgusted with it (The Chief ain’t happy). I guess I am writing to ask if I would be wasting your coaching time, I mean, my doctor says I can start exercising, but will the Power 90 workouts or P90X be too much for my ticker? Are you/have you coached any heart patients? Thanks in advance for any advice.
BTW, Yes, I will take to my doctor the program I decide to pursue for his approval before beginning that program.
Hey Tom, P90X would not be a wise choice to begin with for you — at least not yet. Power 90 might be just right though. Definitely get the doc’s okay first though. Power 90 is a great program to start with because you can modify the moves as needed to start, and make them more intense as you get in better shape.

Hey Patricio, since you are in Mexico you can’t have a TBB account at this time. Which means you can’t officially make me your coach yet. BB is working to expand into Mexico during 2012 so stay tuned. But in the meantime, feel free to plug in with us and be an “unofficial” member of teamRIPPED :-).

Coach I am unable to do a pull-up because I am about 80 pounds overweight and do not currently ahve the strength. I was going to buy resistance bands, but I was unsure which weight set to get. I saw bands for 20-40 pounds, but did not know if buying those to help me do pull ups would have longevity
Hey Bo! It’s okay to not be able to do a pullup at first. Rather than resort to bands right away, consider modifying with either a chair or using the “chin up max” (check that out under the “gear” tab). You’ll get a better workout and become stronger if you use the actual proper form and force yourself to do what you can with assistance.

Hey coach, i signed up today and made you my coach. i am ready and motivated, i am currently doing Asylum. I have gone through P90x and insanity went from 300lbs to 250 now but i am looking to get fit down to 200 or lower. my problem is over eating. that is where i need help.
Hey Jean! Congrats on losing 50 lbs! Way to go! Overeating is most people’s problem (mine included!). That’s why I have to track everything I eat to be sure I don’t overeat! Look in the “nutrition zone” tab above to see the “nutrition all in one” section — full of tips to help you get your diet dialed in for max results.

Hey coach Wayne! I am currently on Day 6 Kenpo X! Working my butt off! I was wondering if you think that it is better to use Day 7 as a rest day or a Stretch day. I know it probably depends on how you feel, but is the stretching also a good workout to burn calories? Or do you think it is better to rest and let your body maintain. What did you do in your fitness journey?

Hey Bo. No, the stretch workout doesn’t do much as far as calorie burn. It does loosen up tight sore muscles though. It’s totally up to you. Sometimes I did stretch and sometimes I just rested. Keep bringing it!!
OMG Coach I just tried a variation of your Shake recipe AWESOME! I used Whey Chocolate and smuckers natural PB. SO GOOD! It really Does taste like Reese’s! I can’t wait to get Chocolate Shakeology in the mail and add some of that to it!

I have ordered my p90x and am planning to start it – although I am far from in shape. I’m 30 years old female, but I am 5’2″ and 200 lbs (about 90+ pounds over my goal). I plan to just do the p90x at my own pace for now until I get more in shape. I want to do the vegan plan (I already know what I need to do to set that up, I just need accountability for breaking my sugar habit). I would love to be on your team as I find your experience and enthusiasm wonderful, but I’m sure you are so busy with so many people that it’s hard to have time for everyone. Is your wife a vegan coach? Or is there anyone else you might recommend who a vegan coach, and is (almost) as enthusiastic about inspiring others as you are? I really want someone who will help keep me accountable, even if it means personally emailing me or evening calling up on the phone!… but I realize the coach has to have personal time for all of that. I’m planning to join the Team Beachbody and thought I’d ask before signing up. Thanks soo much!

Hey Coach, I am just starting the second week of round 2 of P90X tomorrow. I definately dont need to lose weight, but this time around im looking to gain some additional muscle mass, I have been told by beachbody coaches this was not possible as it was more a circuit workout, ive been training and doing martial arts for 15 years and last time around doing it i got more ripped than ever, I am what people call ” a hard gainer ” however I know ill need to push around 3000 cals + to gain what I want, any advice on the workouts to get the best results? maybe 6/8 reps instead of the 8/10? or using weighted vests etc for pushups.

Hey Coach Wayne, _ just signed up to have you as my coach – I completed P90X about two and a half years ago before our daughter was born – I put on “baby weight” with my wife and have not been able to get motivated to start over again until 8 weeks ago when I kind of put my foot down and started P90X back up – I am in week#9 of round one for this year. I was on you tube looking for a glimpse of the P90X2 video’s and came across yours – all I have to say is I am totally got my motivation back and am ready to “bring it” this year. After this round I will be re-documenting myself with pictures and measurements – I just wanted you to know I really like the fact that you have christian themed music on your video’s as well as some scripture – I believe it speaks to your character. Hey Coach Wayne! I’ll be receiving my shakeology in the mail tomorrow and I was curious about use. I know it will help me lose weight, but is the way it helps because it supplies you with nutrition dense foods that allows you to replace a meal which has low calories, therefore allowing you to perform the same activities with a higher calorie deficit, or is it a tool that helps you get the most out of your workouts. I ask because I struggle to get enough calories as it is (I have to push myself to eat about 2000) I just want to know how to properly use Shakeology, and am very excited about having the opportunity to!
Bo, it can be used both ways. In my first round, I used it to replace my breakfast since I wanted to run a calorie deficit and get all my nutrients with a lower calorie total.
In subsequent rounds, I’ve used it to enhance my energy levels and keep me running at 100% by using it in addition to my other foods (For breakfast, I have Shakeology plus oatmeal and yogurt now).

I started P90X in 2010 and made it through 2 months with pretty good results. I didn’t follow the nutrition. I stopped when my mom passed and ate thru my sorrows.
I am motivated again, dieting for 3 weeks and started P90X on Sunday 1/22.
