Coach W Checking In!

Hey teamRIPPED!

What a great week.  I am back home with Sasha Xander, my new son, and we are getting used to the new version of “normal” in our home, which is anything but normal LOL!  But I’d have it no other way.  Normal is boring.  What’s the point of being normal.  I say, find things that matter to you, dream big, know that each of us have the ability to make a big change in the world, and then go for it. That applies to relationships, fitness, health, helping others, etc.  THINK BIG!  That’s my motto.

I hope everyone is rocking their fitness.  Like I talked about a couple weeks ago, all the travel has made it hard for me to keep up with the Body Beast workouts like I would have wanted (didn’t have weights or a bench, etc.), so rather than highly modify, I decided to do P90X workouts with bands for the past 6 weeks or so, and now I’ll start a new 90 day Body Beast round.  In fact, I kicked off day 1 of my 90 days (uninterupted …. hopefully LOL) the morning after my arrival back in the U.S., last Friday.  I’m way behind my teamRIPPED Beasts, but I’m gonna Beast up and do whatever it takes!  I’m jealous they are so far ahead of me, but at the same time I’m so excited to see the results they are getting and can’t wait to feel what this program in it’s entirety will feel like for my fitness level and strength.

I am pretty excited that I finally have a teamRIPPED app for both Android and iPhone users.  If you missed that, check out the article from Monday that explains how to get them.  The app is FREE.  The accountability of knowing Coach Wayne is lurking on your mobile phone at all times is also FREE :-).

The obnoxious pic of me while the app is loading is something I should have to pay all of you to look at LOL!  Hopefully you have fast enough wifi or 3G that you don’t have to look at it too long.  All I ask in return is that you represent teamRIPPED nation by Bringing It, Digging Deep, and Beasting Up!  And let me see your awesome results when you hit the finish line.

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them.  Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow teamRIPPED!

2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.teamRIPPED.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!

Keep bringing it and inspiring others to do the same gang!!

Wayne Wyatt

Congrats on the new addition Wayne! God has blessed you and your family, and it great to see you blessing this young boy's life. You are truly an inspiration.

Congrats on the new addition! I just recently ordered my shakeology and results and recovery formula. I signed into my beachbody acct. when I ordered it so I hope you get the commission from it. One question I have, when you first started P90X did you go the 8-10 reps or 12-15? I'm about 26% body fat and didn't know how many reps I should go. I'm definately wanting results like yours! Wanting that ripped look. Oh yeah, one more thing. Trying to decide between kre alkalyn or monohydrate. What are you're thoughts?

Hey Chris, lift for 8-12. You want to build and strengthen your muscle. That will help with fat loss. As for creatine, I like both. The one benefit to Kre-Alkalyn is that you don't have to cycle it.

Thanks Coach! Day 1 starts the 24th of this month. Can't wait to get started!

Thanks Coach ...and I pick up where I left I don need to start over correct ?

Congrats for ur son Wayne :) God bless Have a question at the en of my first week in bulk phase I might be getting a sinus surgery which requires recovery from 3-7 days not sure what to do with my workout sched and diet am eating 3600 (same, adjust, lower)? I don't know ....don want to lose the amazing results am getting with lean beast ? Advise is highly appreciated thanks Wayne ..really wishing u and ur family the best

Kareem, I would dial it back. If you stay at the same level you will gain weight, but not muscle. The surplus of calories will just be stored as fat. I would lower it to your maintenance level and rest up. The important thing will be to recover and not have any complications like an infection.

Hey coach currently my doctor has me on a weight gain diet. I got too low on weight and was unhealthy. As I gain my weight back I have noticed the love handles coming back and also not as defined abs. Should I worry about this? Or should I just gain the weight and get to where I need to be then switch to maintenance calories. will I lose body fat and the love handles without losing weight on a maintenance diet? Thanks

Hey Sam, that's hard to know. If your doc deemed you "unhealthy" due to excessively low weight, then follow his orders. Gaining unnecessary excess body fat (love handles) doesn't seem to be of any value though, so ask him and see what he says.

Sorry what I was trying to ask may have been confusing. So once I get to the proper weight I will start a maintenance diet. With clean eating and exercise can I lose body fat on a maintenance diet ir would it have to be a deflect. I know a deflect would be faster but I do not necessarily want to lose wegbt just body fat. Thanks

Sam, yes even at maintenance you can slowly lose BF. It won't be quick, but you should be able to maintain your weight by losing fat and gaining muscle (again it a slow process).

Hey coach.. I may have asked this question before, but I was just wondering : Is the superman lower back exercise bad for your abs/heart/lungs?? Because whenever I do it I fear that my heart and lungs are getting compressed... Am i just over thinking it, or do you think it could be a problem, thanks.

No Brian, it's not bad for your abs/heart/lungs or they wouldn't have you doing it. So yes, you are overthinking it.

Congrats on finally getting Sasha home Coach. It would be nice to have little updates about how he is settling in? I know its unrelated but Im sure many others are thinking the same thing.

Danny, we are very blessed. He is one of the family!

Congrats on the new addition coach. Bless your family and your future.

Congratulations to you and the family!

Congrats on the new son, im sure he is going to be much happier. God Bless

Way to go Coach! Glad to hear all is well and your family is doing great!

Congrats Dr. and Mrs. Wyatt!

Aw he's super cute! My stepkid's nickname was Sasha too til he moved to the US, and some mean kids were like "that's a girl's name!" :-( Now he goes by his full name lol. And Xander is one awesome name :) Best wishes for the family.

Yeah! Sasha Xander's home!! : ) Congrats to you all, and God bless you guys as you transition and continue building your relationship!

Congrats on the new addition to your family!
