Hey coach I saw your vid on youtube and I just want to say that what you did was amazing. I want to put on muscle but not sure which program to use. Which one would you recommend?
Ronny, I would use Body Beast or P90X to put on muscle. Both are going to be great, it just depends on which interests you. For a good list of what to expect and get starting out, check out: http://teamripped.com/getting-started
Coach Wayne, your review is outstanding. I just found out about Body Beast today and am pumped for the results. I haven't found anything else like this anywhere else. Thanks for the information! Jim C http://fitdadblog.com/workouts/body-beast/
Coach Wayne, I am about to finish my second round of p90x and I am planning to start body beast as soon as I finish with the X. My question is about the supplements, is it ok to take the pre-workout, the intraworkout, whey, creatine and super suma? Don't you think there are a lot of supplements involved? Should I take all these supplements, even though my nutrition is great? I'm eating 3200 calories. Thanks coach
Christian, those are all fine to take together. Watch for how much creatine is in your PWO and how much you are taking after. Undigested creatine is what bloats. So if you are taking more than your body needs, you will just pass it through. Sounds like a great stack for Body Beast! BEAST UP!!
Coach, I read your articles and ive seen you say that a person will not gain much lean muscle over the course of a year unless by aritficial means. How much mass can i expect to get without starting to look like a marshmellow. The X got me my six pack but i dont want to lose it. In such a short amount of time what kind of gains should follow in your opinion. Thanks.
David, over 60 days of my bulk I gained about 1.5% BF. If you are eating at a surplus, fat is just part of the equation. I went slowly, +500 for lift days, +300 for cardio, and +0 for rest days. You can always cut back down to get back your abs, but after bulking you'll have more mass to go with your 6 pack!
Coach Wayne, I'll be finishing 1st week of BB tomorrow and I like it. I had been doing P90X,P90X plus, One on One's With Tony Horton and P90X2 for a total of over 3 years with excellent results. But I was definitely getting burnt out and losing my enthusiasm, so Sagi and Body Beast came along just in time. Glad you let us know about it. My question is, did your legs get sore doing Build Legs? Because mine were so sore I was walking around like Frankenstein.
Paul, I am passing on leg days with the cycling I am doing. I am training for a 100 mile race. That being said, I have heard that everyone gets wrecked by Sagi's leg days! Don't want those chicken legs!!!
hey coach had to try body beast and did first disc: build(chest/tris) and was wondering if i should use enough weight to reach failure at each given rep number. I notice for example sagi uses i believe 20lbs for first chest press exercise of 15 reps and i used same but of course it was way too light, however, with that being said i was down right sore next day.
Don, the firs sets of 15 and 12 should be light. Go hard on the sets of 8 and the drop sets. Working to failure is a good thing on some sets, but you don't want to take every set to failure.
hey coach first off thanks for all you do, you truly are an inspiration. just got body beast and was wondering if i still have fat to lose can i do it on this program if i cut calories. Or would you recommend doing round of p90x first. i love the thought of actually having more weight lifting principles involved. Any advice is greatly appreciated. thank you.
Hey Don, you could drop weight and fat with Body Beast if you ran a deficit. I always think a round of P90X is great! Use P90X to tone up and get in great shape, then bulk up with the BEAST!
Coach, I am very interested to join your challenge group even though I will be a week late, is it still ok?
Hey coach. I assume it's still recommended to lose thebf%before starting a program like this. Correct?
Hey mate, Im keen for the body beast after p90x, x2 and insanity. How long till I can get it sent to Australia?
Mike, no sure man. Your best bet is to give BB Customer Service a call and ask for the international department. 1 (800) 470-7870
Kristopher - Here are my buddy Mike's ultimate sheets (http://teamrightnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/TRN_Ultimate_Body-Beast_Worksheets_X2.zip). They may not be all done, he is busting them out pretty quick. Beachbody's sheets are in the Free Downloads.
Ok, I did it. *hangs head in shame* I finally joined facebook. Is it too late to join the body beast group? My copy will be here in a few days.... and I'm really excited :) Is it ok if I start a few days late? Thanks
thank you coach, it gave me the notification that you accepted me but i cannot look the page, it just shows me the members :/
Coach, Yea I switched over to 50/30/20 a month ago hoping for a change, kinda like the movie ground hog day when I weigh myself it's the same every day, i go to bed 156# and wake up 152#. I like the 50% carbs since I feel full longer and it's cheaper lol. Is it possible for your metabolism to be high enough that when you eat more it justs burns more? I
Mike, definitely! You metabolism come be just humming alone at top speed. Make small adjustments (200 calories) and see where you start to maintain.
Coach, Yeah the page 70 was what I was talking about. My concern is that I have been eating 3000 calories for the past two months of p90x2 (second round )and haven't gained a single ounce. 152# 6' tall 7% body fat. Do you think I need to eat more than the recommend 3100 calories per day on beast eating plan to have any gains?
Mike, if you know where you maintenance is then feel free to go above it. Have you also been eating at 30P/50C/20F? The increase in carbs can change things too. Just be mindful of that and track. Adjust as needed.
Hey Coach, Speaking of LEAN, what would you recommend nutritionally, and from a cardio perspective, for someone wanting to lose 20lbs, while doing Body Beast.
Gideon, I wouldn't recommend cardio in addition. Your nutrition plan will allow you lose that weight. Run your deficit and you'll be golden. The Beast workouts get the HR up and will burn plenty of calories. You will working out 6 days a week too. Fat Shredder on Body Beast, that will be cool!
Hey coach question for you. For body beast should I do the Lean version or the Bulk version? My Current stats are: Im 6'2" 232 pounds and have a bf of 25%. I don't know which one I should do any input would be great coach thanks!
Dome, even the LEAN version of Body Beast will cause you to gain some fat during the first 8 weeks. The difference with LEAN is there are 4 weeks of the final phase. You can still do Beast but I would consider a different nutritional (a deficit not bulk) approach until you get your BF% lower.
hey coach can i join the group i planed on getting started today as well might as well do it with my coach and team ripped peeps sign me up coach
Thanks for the info. One other question for you. I am a morning monster yet the instructions say you need two pre work out meals before the.lifting I workout harder in.the evening yet I hate waiting until after workthe to workout. What are your thoughts on the pre workout nutrition rules?
Hey Mike, are you referring to page 70? I think that is misleading. You don't need a pre-workout meal. Those time suggestions are what Sagi would have you eat, if you ate at those time before a workout. No need to top of the tank. Get up and BEAST UP!
Coach, Speaking of the supplements why does the beast book.say to take 2 servings of fuel shot yet the servings are calculated by single scoop servings and only 25?. Also I.assume you don't take the.supps on a rest day since its a "30 day" supply yet it only has 25the servings.
Hey Mike, yes take only one scoop of Fuel Shot post workout. You can use more to up your calories, but that'd require more than one tub a month. I would not use Fuel Shot on Rest days. It is just simple carbs and will spike your blood sugar levels. Not needed except for post workout.
Hey Wayne just dropping in to say how awesome it is that you seem to do this coaching thing for the right reason, to help people. My wife (Lyndsey, lost over 155 pounds) was a finalist in the beach body challenge so I got to come to summit. I thought it was really cool how you nammed off all the people you helped win the monthly prize. A lot of times you just see people treating this as a sales job, but you seem to be on the mission the correct way and deserved all the props you got at summit.
Thanks Travis! I try to keep that my aim. So glad for your wife! That is awesome! A new lease on life.
Coach, I am actually interested in doing my body beast at the gym. Does this workout come with something where I can take it to the gym to do? I know it comes with the calendar. Or will I have to watch the video and write it down?
Stan, you will probably want to get familiar with the sequence and pace of the workouts from the DVDs before going to the gym. Then you could take the workout sheets and follow along that way.
