It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for!!! The hard work of all of our teamRIPPED Asylum Challenge contestants has been boiled down into 4:59 of pure heaven on earth!
There is nothing as inspiring as seeing what our team did by working together, encouraging each other, pushing each other, and holding each other accountable to be their very best.
This video is our teamRIPPED entry into the Asylum Challenge against our worthy opponent, team Xcellent Fitness. Shaun T will be judging the winner, so of course I’ll keep you posted on how that turns out. But before he even judges, I can say without a doubt that everyone who participated in the Asylum Challenge is already a winner! We absolutely ROCKED this!!!!
Oh, and if that little 4:59 teaser video leaves you wanting more, I’ve got great news for you! Our Asylum Legends have full length videos, which I will be posting in an article on my site TOMORROW! I’ll post them at noon, so you may want to call in sick for the afternoon, because these are a MUST SEE! It’s hard for a short clip to capture what they accomplished, but their full length videos will tell their story. Plus, you may be surprised to know that while they all look as good as Shaun T now, they weren’t always super-fit! Shocker!! :-)
Hey coach what all did they do to get this way. I am striving to get to this point by sticking to the nutrition program and pushing myself in every workout. I really am pushing myself to reach these guys levels
Sal O - that was a total team effort. The Crazies pushed each other and they all give it 110%. The power of the Challenge Group!
hey coach wayne does the asylum come with the jumprope and the leg bands? im thinking on buying it tomorrow.thknx
Day #28 of The Asylum in the bag. In the X2 Crew Challenge for P90X2, but thinking ahead. Any info or rumors about a Volume #2?
Hey Tyler, they made "Vol 1" to leave open the option of future volumes, but they aren't shooting any new videos at the moment for the Asylum series.
hey coach, i am nearing the end of phase 2 for p90x and i am wondering if i should try the insanity asylum progam following the conclusion of p90x. i am trying to gain some mass. therefore, do you think that the asylum progam will hurt the mass gains that i get from p90x?
Hey Luke, if gaining mass is your focus, don't do Insanity or Asylum. They are great for shredding, but for building mass you are better off with P90X and/or the Tony Horton 1-on-1's.
43 into the Legends Video, where can you get those bands, and they look like they engaged the same muscles as doing pullups does, or would they help at all?
Shawn, Never would I have thought have those bands would work as well as they do , but man you squeeze your muscles so tight with those bands plus you can hold it there for a second or two and really get a great burn!! They are very cheap on the teambeachbody website - buy a couple of each because you will snap them after a while - you can look into other heavy duty bands but mine lasted me 2 months before i snapped both. Coach Paul "DO WORK"
Congrats teamRIPPED! Female or male it doesn't matter as long as you do your best to finish the run! Inspiring to those who want to go through Asylum! I'm still on Insanity. Hope to move up to Asylum once I graduate from Insanity. Makes me nervous at the same time!
Sorry for the delayed comment, back from a week of vacation. Fantastic job on thevideo Wayne! Unbelievable job on the workouts and results everybody!!
WOW! I'm stoked for this....You Guys/Gals Rocked it big time. And being that i finished my Day 22 workout of Insanity and I'm some what beat, it makes want rip up the floor.... ONCE AGAIN, WELL DONE, WELL DONE! BRAVO......:@)
@Kirby: I'd look into Insanity first before jumping into Asylum. There was a handful of us in the group that went straight from P90X, however the pace is SOOO much faster than P90X. Insanity is an awesome workout too, so dial in your nutrition just right (use P90x's nutrition guide, I find that it's a little more thorough) and dig deep. You'll be glad you did
Coach, quick question and sorry if you answered this elsewhere. What nutritional plan would you recommend for asylum? I'm trying to get these last couple pounds off before alternating to a bulking plan. It seems pretty intense, and I wasn't sure if I should still stick with a ~2000 cal plan.
Hey Ryan! With Asylum, as with Insanity and P90X, the nutrition should be tailored to your goals, and if you are wanting to drop a bit more body fat, go with the fat shredder plan. The Asylum diet book actually only calls for 1800-2100 cals (assuming that people want to really get shredded).
I have a question. For those of you who did Asylum, did you do Insanity first or go straight from P90X to Asylum? I am wondering if I will be prepared for Asylum after finishing P90X or if I need to do Insanity first. I finish P90X 40 days before I go on vacation, and it would be nice to do Asylum during that time period before I head out to the beach. :)
I enjoyed the video. I think that it really inspires the "average joe" to become better at his or her job and I liked how you put "be a super hero to your kids"! If I may, P90X is the beginning... INSANITY / ASYLUM is the future along with MC2. And the future smells glorious to me.
That's was great guys! I definitely want to try the program after seeing the results from everyone. You guys are the pioneers of the team. Wayne, I love that song for highlight videos. It's not used quite in the same way as Requiem for a Dream, but it's great for highlights.
Wow.....you guys did a fantastic job. You can tell your hard work and dedication to the program has really paid off. Incredible job and keep bringing it!
Wow ! This is amazing. So sad that I Can't be a part of This awesome team when I live in Europe! You guys sure are inspiring. Keep bringing it !
Awesome results everyone. When I get tired or feel like I don't want to put in the work for a day its videos like this that get me off the couch and on the floor! Keep killing it everyone!
haha! that was some video coach! giving speilberg a run for his money! amazing job guys, did you participate as well coach wayne? i thought you'd be popping out near the end
Well Done Coach on the final cut. Congratulations to the Team Ripped members who made the final cut. Way to represent....you guys i'm sure have made Shaun T's decision very easy. Team Ripped 4 Life!
Wow! I am just starting Insanity - the original - and I can't even handle that! I got a little nauseous and tired watching people that intese! You guys rock!
If you guys wanna dig deep this is DEFINITELY the workout to do it in. I've done them all and have never been mentally challenged like this. "Mind over Matter" definitely comes into play here. Great job to everyone I went into battle with. It was a pleasure to fight for every last inch with you. You are all BEASTS in my book!
Amazing job Coach! It was an honor to do battle with all of you. Let's do another team vs. team challenge some day. The comaraderie that grew out of this thing is awesome!
